[ARCHIVED] Important Information for Pending Snow Storm

Winter Weather

After any snow emergency is declared and/or upon the accumulation of three inches of ice or snow, it shall be unlawful, at any time during the continuance of the emergency, for any person to park a motor vehicle or to allow that vehicle to remain parked anywhere on any snow emergency route designated in § 603 of this Part 6.

When a snow emergency has been declared due to accumulation pursuant to § 603, Subsection 2, below, it shall be unlawful to park any vehicle on streets throughout the Township, which are not specifically contained to § 603, Subsection 1, until the snow has been completely plowed for the full width of the cartway. If the property has a Driveway then the vehicles must be parked in the driveway until the Snow has been completely removed from the street and the Emergency has been lifted. This provision shall not apply to those streets within the Township where only on-street parking is available.

With heavy snowfall expected the Public Works Department will be making sure that the center lanes of all roads remain passible at all times. Once all township roadways have been opened then the curb lanes will be cleared. Please wait to clear your driveways and sidewalks until we have cleared your street curb to curb. If you need to clear your driveway please clear a spot before your driveway for the snow that is being plowed to be dropped into before your driveway opening. Please keep in mind that this storm has the potential to be extended past 24-30 hours, so please be patient with the removal process.
