[ARCHIVED] Snow, Strong Winds, and Extreme Cold Forecast to Affect West Norriton Starting Tonight.

Significant event details and developments:

1. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Eastern Montgomery County from 2100 hours tonight until 1900 hours tomorrow. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Western Montgomery County for the same time period.

2. Expected snowfall totals have increased. Eastern Montgomery County: 4 to 6 inches. Western Montgomery County: 3 to 4 inches. Snow is still expected to start between 0100 and 0400 hours tomorrow and may significantly impact the morning commute.

3. Strong winds will develop on Thursday and will continue on Friday, with gusts up to 50 MPH. Winds will contribute to significant blowing snow.

4. There has been no change in expected temperatures and wind chills through the weekend. A Code Blue is still in effect for Montgomery County until Monday at 12 PM.

It is recommended that if you have available off-street parking to utilize it during the overnight hours. This will help in our snow removal efforts should plowing become necessary.
