Attention Neighbors of West Norriton Township
PennDOT is planning safety upgrades along Main Street (SR 3009), between Egypt Road and Forrest Avenue/West Airy Street.
The proposed improvements include:
Re-striping to a partial “road diet” (2 through lanes westbound, 1 through lane eastbound, a shared left-turn lane, and dedicated turn movements at signals)
Mill & overlay of existing pavement Modifications to traffic signals at Schuylkill Avenue, Whitehall Road, and Forrest/West Airy Street (as needed)
Evaluation and upgrades of ADA / pedestrian facilities along the corridor
Some temporary and permanent right-of-way acquisitions in areas near the traffic signals
We invite all residents, business owners, commuters, and interested stakeholders to join us for a public meeting to review the proposed plans, ask questions, and provide feedback.
