Sewer rental is based on water usage. Usage information is received from Pennsylvania American Water and sewer rental is calculated based on the amount of water each township residence has used. If you have a leaky toilet or pipe, this can result in higher water usage billed by the water company, and also higher sewer rents billed by the township.

Your sewer bill is based on water consumption. The only way you can avoid paying sewer rent based on your entire water bill is if you have an outside meter installed and provide us with a reading covering the amount of water that is used outside. Private Meter Permits are available under Forms and Requests.
