West Norriton Township Act 537 Plan Update 

Public Notice is hereby given that West Norriton Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, proposes to adopt an Updated Act 537 Plan. The Act 537 Update evaluates the Township’s Service Area for developing a plan to provide long-term sewage collection, conveyance and treatment needs.

The Act 537 Plan Update report provides background and evaluation of the existing collection, conveyance and treatment, projected development over the 10 year and ultimate build out time frames.  The Plan also includes the rationale for the selected alternative.  The selected alternative proposes for West Norriton Township to continue discharging to NMWA WWTP through its Intermunicipal Treatment Agreement with NMWA and update the Agreement as needed.  The sanitary sewer collection and conveyance system is owned and operated by West Norriton Township.   The Act 537 Plan includes a map of West Norriton Township which depicts the Township and properties included in the 10 year and ultimate build out projections.   The Plan also includes Opinion of Probable Cost for the each alternative evaluated. 

A draft of the Act 537 Plan Update report can be reviewed at the West Norriton Township municipal office at 1630 W. Marshall Street, Jeffersonville, PA 19403-3236, during normal business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  

Written comments from the public regarding the Act 537 Plan Update will be received by West Norriton Township at the above address for 30 calendar days following the date of publication of this notice.   Comments should be submitted in writing to the attention of Jason Bobst, Township Manager at 1630 W. Marshall Street, Jeffersonville, PA 19403-3236. Public comments will be considered by West Norriton Township Board of Commissioners prior to acting on the Act 537 Plan Update.
